The 6th ICBS, postponed due to the Covid 19, will be held online on 25-28 February, 2021.
Those who could not submit the abstract in response to the 1st Call for Paper may submit their abstracts at the submission portal at https://icbs.bangabidya.org/ between 5 – 25 November, 2020.
Abstracts, in Bengali/ English/ Hindi, in all areas of Bengal Studies, including but not limited to, Aesthetics, Anthropology, Archaeology, Comparative Literature, Cultural Studies, Development Studies, Economics, Environmental Studies, Fine Arts, Folklore, Gender Studies, Geography, History, Linguistics, Literature and Criticism, Literary and Cultural Theory, Media Studies, Museology, Philosophy, Political Science, Sociology are invited.
We also encourage submissions on the following special themes:
Reception of Bengal in other Indian Linguistic Cultures
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman: Contribution in the History and Culture of the Subcontinent
Kazi Najrul Islam: Reception in the Indian Subcontinent and Beyond
History of Bengali Literary Studies
The abstract (maximum 500 words) is expected to give information about the primary material of study/survey, the approach/methodology adopted, a brief reference to works done by other scholars so far, and how the proposed paper adds to the existing knowledge.
Notification of acceptance will be communicated on 20 December, 2020, along with the information about registration fee, presentation platform etc.
